To start as soon as possible, full time, permanentRWE is expanding its Italian Renewables activities. In line with this growth, the PE Europe South team is seeking a new Technical Team Lead PE Italy to support our expansion in the Italian market.As the Technical Team Lead PE Italy, you will be responsible for engineering and technical aspects of onshore wind, solar PV, and hybrid projects, with a focus on plant optimization and maintaining a technical advantage in the market. You will lead an integrated team responsible for project engineering from inception to COD within the region.PE Italy is part of the PE Europe South cluster, which includes Greece, Italy, and Spain. The team will support and coordinate with other regions, requiring alignment on priorities and resources with the Head of PE South, based on project lists, activities, and timelines from key stakeholders (Development and Construction).The scope of work includes onshore wind, solar PV, and hybrid systems.Your Tasks :Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team to deliver design engineering for development and construction projects, focusing on optimization across the project lifecycle.Prepare, review, and align concept and basic engineering of Balance of Plant (BoP) components, including geotechnical investigations, access, reticulation, grid connection, and electrical infrastructure, with support from external providers as needed.Review and align on execution designs, reports, specifications, and drawings, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.Conduct internal noise assessments and review contractor results.Design, implement, and monitor wind measurements.Evaluate wind turbine loads and lifespan estimations, reviewing OEM results.Optimize layouts for wind, solar, and hybrid projects, including energy yield calculations considering losses and uncertainties.Assist in preparing regulatory and administrative documents, such as environmental permits and building approvals, providing technical input.Support technical due diligence of supplier products, including prequalification, tendering, negotiations, and procurement strategies, especially related to BoP.Assist in project due diligence (e.g., M&A), reviewing and proposing solutions while identifying risks.Support project execution by ensuring engineering compliance and resolving technical issues during construction.Identify market opportunities for engineering services, benchmarking, pre-qualification, and selecting external providers.Make or buy decisions regarding engineering services, ensuring quality from external providers.Collaborate with internal teams and global engineering communities to ensure delivery aligns with portfolio needs, incorporating risk management and continuous improvement.Ensure environmental, health, and safety standards are integrated into all design aspects.Your Profile :University degree in electrical, civil, mechanical, industrial engineering, or related fields.Several years of relevant experience in project engineering within renewables.Strong commercial judgment and ability to resolve complex technical issues.Solid understanding of Italian and international engineering standards.Strong commitment to HSE standards.Willingness to travel internationally regularly.Excellent communication skills in Italian and English (spoken and written).Leadership Skills :Proven ability to lead, inspire, manage, and delegate effectively, including through change processes.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, setting priorities aligned with business needs.Capability to develop team members and foster their potential.Self-reflective, pragmatic, and feedback-oriented attitude.Enjoy working in international and virtual teams.High social competence, engagement, and intercultural awareness.Uphold high ethical standards consistent with RWE Renewables values and conduct.#J-18808-Ljbffr
